Medxcel is seeking a Facilities Painter for St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville. The role focuses on applying paints, varnishes, and coatings to interior and exterior surfaces, plus preparing and maintaining surfaces to ensure quality finishes.

You will install and repair drywall, textures, vinyl coverings, and ceilings; operate painting equipment and safely handle hazardous materials following PPE protocols. Collaboration with the facilities team is essential for projects and safety.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of trade school preferred.
• 1+ year relevant experience preferred.
• Other equivalent combination of relevant education or experience.

Aufgaben

• Apply protective and decorative coats (paint, varnish, lacquer) to interior and exterior surfaces; prepare surfaces and match/tint existing paint.
• Install, repair, and maintain drywall, wall texturing, vinyl wall coverings, and ceiling textures.
• Operate and maintain painting and power equipment: compressors, spray gear, sandblasters, and heavy lift equipment; safely handle hazardous materials and follow PPE procedures.
• Erect scaffolding and staging to reach surfaces; create graphics/signage layouts to comply with DOT, ADA and safety requirements.
• Communicate work order status and procedures; support special projects, meetings, and training; perform additional duties as needed.
