Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle is seeking an Operating Engineer - Healthcare in Baldwin Park, CA to maintain critical healthcare infrastructure and ensure patient care environments operate safely and efficiently.

You will oversee electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and backup systems, perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and document readings. This is a full-time onsite role with competitive benefits and a focus on reliability and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with related trade schooling or two years of college.
• Minimum four years' experience in electrician trade, HVAC/refrigeration, or emergency backup systems (generators, UPS, etc).
• Ability to lift 60 lbs and climb ladders up to 40 feet.
• Able to read schematics and follow safety standards (OSHA/local codes).

Responsibilities

• Oversee refrigeration, HVAC, electrical, and emergency backup systems; record readings.
• Analyze operation, diagnose problems, and perform preventive maintenance.
• Install/repair plumbing, electrical controls, and motors; run conduit.
• Conduct routine assessments to ensure proper function of equipment.
• Install/repair pumps, motors, heat exchangers; maintain logs and time records.
• Perform painting, carpentry, and medical equipment repair under infection control.
