Job summary

Raleigh General Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Plant Operations Coordinator to support safe hospital operations by coordinating work orders, Life Safety, documentation, and facility services. You will work with the Director of Plant Operations, departments, vendors, and tradespeople to maintain compliance and minimize disruptions to patient care.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, strong organizational skills, and experience in healthcare facilities or plant operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework preferred.
• Experience in healthcare, facilities, maintenance, or plant operations preferred.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work with hospital staff, vendors, and contractors.
• Knowledge of Life Safety standards and regulatory compliance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Plant Operations with daily operations and admin tasks.
• Maintain life safety documentation and records for regulatory needs.
• Coordinate Environment of Care rounding and follow-up actions.
• Track compliance records and reports for the department.
• Liaise with vendors and contractors for scheduling and documentation.
• Monitor vendor performance and manage contracts and service records.
• Prepare reports and presentations using Microsoft Office.
• Support work order tracking and departmental recordkeeping.
• Assist with scheduling meetings and coordinating projects.
• Maintain organized filing systems.
• Support readiness for inspections, audits, and surveys.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Plant Operations.
