Job summary

Roseville Care Center is seeking a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Assistant for full-time work in Roseville, CA. You will perform routine maintenance across the facility, including plumbing, electrical, painting, and general repairs, while keeping residents safe and comfortable.

The role requires basic systems knowledge, strong work ethic, and the ability to follow instructions. Prior maintenance or building repair experience is preferred; 10th grade minimum education is required.

Qualifications

• Basic plumbing knowledge for minor repairs.
• Basic electrical knowledge for minor electrical maintenance.
• Experience with painting, patching and general upkeep.
• General handyman skills and ability to troubleshoot.
• Previous maintenance or building repair experience preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Strong work ethic, dependability, and attention to detail.
• Professional communication with residents and staff.
• High school education or equivalent preferred; 10th grade minimum.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs across the facility, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general handyman tasks.
• Maintain facility grounds, parking areas, sidewalks, and driveways through cleaning and upkeep.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and follow established schedules.
• Replace light bulbs, maintain lighting fixtures, and assist with basic equipment repairs.
• Assist with HVAC maintenance as directed and within training.
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, and needed repairs.
• Keep equipment, tools, and supplies organized and clean.
• Follow safety procedures and infection control practices.
• Coordinate maintenance with nursing staff to minimize resident disruption.
• Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Respond to maintenance requests and complete additional duties as assigned.
