Job summary

Oakland Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general upkeep and repairs across painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and HVAC systems. The role supports preventive maintenance and compliance with safety standards in a 215-bed sub-acute/long-term care setting.

Strong knowledge of building systems, codes, and basic computer use (Word/Excel) is required. Flexible scheduling including day/evening/weekend shifts may be needed.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of general maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair work including painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and other facility systems.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair building equipment and systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Support preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend system longevity.
• Maintain knowledge of building systems, equipment, and applicable building codes.
• Utilize basic computer systems to document work orders and communicate updates.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly while prioritizing resident safety.
• Ensure all work complies with safety procedures and regulatory standards.
