Job summary

Emerald Healthcare in Omaha, NE is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure safe, reliable operation of building systems and grounds at our skilled nursing facility. You will perform routine inspections and repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, and address safety checks and hazards.

The role includes after-hours responses, vendor coordination, and general facility upkeep to support residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Formal training or certification in maintenance preferred.
• Healthcare or skilled nursing maintenance experience highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Routine inspections of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Diagnose and repair facility systems promptly to minimize disruption.
• Perform safety checks and address hazards per policy.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests, including after hours.
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized work.
• Oversee maintenance tools and equipment upkeep.
• Support landscaping, painting, and minor construction tasks as needed.
• Communicate status of requests clearly with management.
