Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia is seeking a Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment and systems, including pumps, motors, door operators, plumbing, and light carpentry. You will perform preventative maintenance, respond to work orders, manage parts, read blueprints, and ensure code compliance; at least 3 years of general mechanical maintenance experience is required.

High school diploma required; certifications upon hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of general mechanical maintenance and repairs experience.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, doors and sheetrock repairs; ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Daily repairs of pumps, motors, door operators, and related systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and document completed work in CMMS.
• Rekeying locks and repairing doors, knobs, and hardware as needed.
• Inspect zones, note repairs, and coordinate parts and materials.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA and Life Safety codes in a healthcare setting.
