Job summary

Divine Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Toledo is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general upkeep of the facility's grounds and physical plant, including preventive maintenance on medical and non-medical equipment. The role requires hands-on repair skills and the ability to respond quickly to repair requests.

You will conduct rounds, follow safety protocols, and assist the maintenance director with emergency plans and life safety code compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or Long Term Care preferred.
• Working understanding of facility maintenance, grounds and preventive tasks.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform general property maintenance including grounds and the physical plant.
• Repair basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and fixtures as needed.
• Maintain medical equipment repair records and perform preventive maintenance per specs.
• Inspect and repair lighting, switches, outlets and fixtures; replace bulbs.
• Assist with fire safety and OSHA trainings and emergency plans.
• Conduct daily rounds on assigned units to identify repairs and safety hazards.
• Perform safety inspections and maintain a safe environment for residents and staff.
