Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to perform quality maintenance functions at our Pueblo, CO facility. You will help with preventive maintenance, repairs, and replacements, ensuring equipment and systems operate safely and reliably.

You will inspect equipment, assist in patient safety-related tasks, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team while adhering to Life Care standards and local regulations. A strong customer service mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Preferred completion of high school or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems preferred.
• Familiarity with local building codes and ordinances preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventive maintenance, repairs and replacements.
• Inspect equipment and systems for proper functioning and safety.
• Run errands, handle incoming/outgoing freight, and move heavy items.
• Provide excellent customer service toward patients.
• Assist in emergency evacuation of patients.
• Communicate and collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
