Job summary

Imperial Healthcare is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our team in New Jersey. This full-time role runs 8 AM–5 PM and involves hands-on upkeep, minor repairs, and safety compliance to keep our facility safe and running smoothly.

Responsibilities include plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, HVAC checks, and responding to work orders. Benefits include medical insurance, a 401(k) match, life insurance, and generous PTO.

Qualifications

Previous maintenance or facility experience preferred.
Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs including plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry.
Respond to maintenance requests and complete work orders promptly.
Inspect and maintain HVAC, lighting, and safety systems.
Assist with room setups, furniture moves, and facility projects.
Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance logs.
Follow OSHA, safety, and infection control guidelines.
