Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our Healthcare hospital in the Memphis, TN area. Primary duties include painting, patching walls, sheetrock, drywall repairs, door repairs, general maintenance and carpentry.

Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems, inspecting installations for codes and safety, and following established procedures under supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience.
• Able to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
• Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
• Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Review assigned work orders and track completion using available systems.
• Support energy management by ensuring all building systems operate efficiently.
• Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Follow established procedures to solve straightforward problems and communicate findings clearly.
• Contribute to team output by following defined duties, methods and tasks under supervision.
