Job summary

FutureCare in Maryland is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to perform preventive maintenance on the facility, building systems, fire/safety and medical equipment. You will log temperatures, assist with repairs, and ensure compliance with state and federal codes.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 2 years of building maintenance experience.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility is a plus.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Provides ongoing preventative maintenance for the facility, building systems, fire/safety equipment and medical equipment.
• Performs repairs, maintains logs and generates required reports.
• Ensures compliance with State and Federal regulatory codes.
• Maintains a clean, safe work environment in the maintenance shop.
• Reads and logs refrigerator and water temperatures daily.
