Job summary

FutureCare in Maryland is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to perform preventative maintenance on facility assets, equipment, and building systems within budget. You will log temperatures, monitor conditions, and assist with repairs to ensure resident and staff comfort and safety.

The role requires physical stamina, reliability, and the ability to follow procedures, read logs, and maintain accurate records. Prior maintenance experience in healthcare settings is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required or preferred.
• At least 2 years' experience in building maintenance preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Must maintain a polite and courteous demeanor toward residents and staff.
• Ability to multi-task and meet physical demands (standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Provides ongoing preventative maintenance for the facility and building systems.
• Performs repairs and maintains records and logs, and produces required reports.
• Ensures compliance with state and federal codes.
• Maintains safe, clean maintenance workspace and follows corporate policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
