Job summary

Langdon Place of Exeter is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help keep our center, equipment, and grounds safe and well maintained for residents, visitors, and staff. You’ll tackle a variety of repairs and preventive tasks, enjoying ongoing learning and hands-on work.

We offer a Monday–Friday schedule with every other weekend and an hourly rate of $18–$23 based on experience plus shift differentials. This is a non-exempt, on-site role with opportunities to grow within the 603 Healthcare family.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Working knowledge of basic repairs, preventive maintenance, and groundskeeping.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Safety-conscious and detail-oriented approach.
• Prior maintenance experience, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building, equipment, and grounds maintenance.
• Assist with painting, plumbing, carpentry, lighting, call-system, heating/cooling, and general repairs.
• Complete preventive maintenance according to established schedules.
• Conduct rounds to identify safety or repair needs.
• Respond to maintenance requests and escalate larger issues when needed.
• Maintain facility grounds and outdoor areas.
• Support Life Safety Code, OSHA, fire-safety, and emergency-preparedness activities.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and materials.
• Participate in the required on-call rotation.
