Job summary

Dublin Post Acute is seeking a dependable Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance Director in keeping a safe, clean, and functional environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The role covers routine upkeep, inspections, and repairs of the facility and grounds.

The position requires practical maintenance skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC, with emphasis on safety, documentation, and teamwork within a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
• Experience in healthcare or long-term care environments is a plus.
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely.
• Comfort with following written and verbal instructions.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or with a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine maintenance and repair of facility, equipment, fixtures, and grounds.
• Perform basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and mechanical repairs as assigned.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders.
• Help with preventive maintenance and routine inspections of facility equipment.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies in an organized and safe manner.
