Immaculate Mary Center in Philadelphia seeks a Maintenance Worker to repair and maintain mechanical systems, handle plumbing and electrical tasks, and support a safe, comfortable environment for residents and staff. Applicants should have at least five years’ experience in healthcare facility maintenance, be able to lift heavy loads, and work beyond normal hours when needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years’ experience in facility maintenance work with an emphasis in a healthcare environment.
• Ability to lift in excess of 50 pounds, push, pull and move residents, equipment, supplies up to 200 pounds.
• Flexible hours including weekends, holidays and inclement weather when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain mechanical equipment, including heating and air conditioning.
• Replace light bulbs, batteries on smoke alarms, and ballasts as needed.
• Perform plumbing duties, including unclogging sinks, toilets, and faucets.
• Assist with snow and ice removal as needed.
• Maintain a safe, dignified and well‑being focused environment for residents and staff.
• Respond to off-hours critical facility calls.
