Skilled Nursing of NY is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily maintenance and upkeep at our healthcare facility. The role requires hands-on expertise in carpentry, flooring, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC, with the ability to identify issues and prioritize repairs to keep residents safe.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and effective teamwork.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in maintenance, facilities, or building operations.
• Strong hands-on experience with carpentry, flooring, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve general maintenance issues.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently.
• Reliable, responsible, and detail-oriented.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting, such as a nursing home, assisted living facility, or hospital, is required.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the facility.
• Perform and coordinate general maintenance and repair work.
• Identify maintenance issues and ensure they are addressed in a timely manner.
• Perform carpentry, installation, finish work, painting, patching, and other general repairs.
• Assist with flooring installation and repairs.
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs.
• Repair and maintain equipment and appliances.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and skilled tradespeople as needed.
• Prioritize maintenance requests and respond to facility needs.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and functional environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Ensure maintenance areas, equipment, and workspaces are kept organized.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
