Job summary

Harmony Healthcare Long Island is seeking a Facilities Assistant to support day-to-day facility maintenance, cleaning and safety programs across its Nassau County locations.

The role reports to the Facilities Manager and requires a hands-on, self-starting individual with 3+ years in maintenance or facilities work, a NY driver's license, and the ability to travel up to 30% and work a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in maintenance, facilities, or handy-work experience.
• Hands-on aptitude for building systems and structural components.
• Must have NY driver's license and be able to travel 30%.
• Willing to work on-call 24-7 as needed.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for day-to-day facility maintenance and cleaning.
• Assist with general maintenance including painting and light construction.
• Participates in installation and maintenance of furnishings as directed.
• Manage work orders and ensure timely action for patient satisfaction.
• Support facilities projects and participate in events as needed.
• Coordinate vendor interactions and preventive maintenance planning.
• Maintain safety equipment and building systems for optimal operation.
