Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System in Georgia seeks an experienced plant operations plumber responsible for installing, repairing, replacing and inspecting pipes, fittings and fixtures to maintain heating, water, gas and drainage.

The role requires reading blueprints, complying with Georgia plumbing codes, supervising assistants, coordinating with supervisors, and ensuring safe, efficient operation of facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Five (5) years of plumbing/maintenance experience in lieu of license or certification.
• Preferred: State Plumbing License for Plant Operations.

Responsibilities

• Installs, repairs, replaces and inspects pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures to maintain heating, water, gas and drainage.
• Reads and interprets project design blueprints; ensures layouts match task requirements and notifies supervisor of discrepancies.
• Supervises and trains assistants to maximize production; assigns daily work and ensures tools and materials are organized and available.
• Coordinates material deliveries and inventory; ensures correct materials usage and safety compliance.
• Maintains documentation on repairs, adjustments and parts on work orders; uses PPE appropriately.
• Maintains domestic water and sewer systems and performs related preventive maintenance.

Education

High School Diploma or GED; Five (5) years experience in lieu of license or certification

State Plumbing License for Plant Operations (preferred)
