Job summary

Medxcel is hiring a Facilities Leader at St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis to oversee daily building operations, energy management, and vendor life cycle for remodeling projects.

You will develop policies, manage budgets, mentor staff, and drive process improvements while ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements in a large healthcare facility. The role requires leadership and a focus on operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Six years of facilities management, physical plant operations, or building maintenance experience at a large facility.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes departmental policies, operational plans, and capacity strategies while managing budgets.
• Oversees daily building operations, energy management, grounds maintenance, and inventories to ensure safe plant functioning.
• Acts as the primary liaison for remodeling and construction, managing the entire vendor lifecycle from bids and contract compliance to project execution.
• Establishes a safe work environment through audits and training, ensuring strict documentation and compliance with standards.
• Leads and mentors staff and contract labor, overseeing scheduling, recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and operational excellence.
• Serves as an organizational change agent to drive process efficiencies while maintaining strong communications with internal leadership, external partners, and regulators.
