Duke Raleigh Hospital, a campus of Duke University Health System, seeks a Director of Operations, Facilities to lead administrative direction and coordination of operations and budgets for the hospital entity in Raleigh, NC.

The role emphasizes managing financials, human resources, operational improvements, and strategic direction in a complex healthcare setting while ensuring policy compliance and efficient patient care support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience, at least 5 of those are supervisory.
• Experience leading collective bargaining unit employees preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the administration, coordination, performance and monitoring of operational and business activities of the entity, working collaboratively with senior administrative and physician management.
• Ensure the development, implementation and compliance with applicable DUHS policies and procedures.
• Maintain liaison with all levels of administration, physicians and outside organizations to coordinate entity business and directives.
• Manage the operational department budgets including the analysis of expenses and monthly reports, and the creation of an annual budget; create and communicate budget reports; monitor expenditures.
• Ensure consistent interpretation and application of human resource policies and procedures; recruit and retain employees; manage personnel issues.
• May implement and manage clinical procedures and regulatory processes relating to patient flow and budgets, billing and insurance, and records maintenance.
• May analyze operations to determine improvements to clinic procedures; recommend actions.
• Lead business development activities including coordinating marketing materials, campaigns, and facility renovations.
• Perform new equipment and service coordination including evaluation of purchases and installation.
• Assess resource utilization to meet patient needs and maintain equipment in good condition.
• Ensure compliance with local/state/federal laws, TJC standards and hospital policies.
