Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Maintenance Technician at Lakeland Hospital Niles to maintain a safe, clean environment and support the building management program.

You will work under supervision with other trades, perform repairs, document work, and ensure compliance with codes and policies. The role runs 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, with on-call weekends, at Site - Lakeland Hospital Niles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2 years of relevant experience in maintenance or construction.
• LIC-Driver's License - STATE_MI State of Michigan is required.

Responsibilities

• Communicates and collaborates with supervisors, project managers and other trades to ensure quality, timely maintenance and safe operation of facilities.
• Performs hands-on maintenance and construction activities using standard tools and equipment; conducts measurements and calculations as needed.
• Inspects and mentors apprentices, documents procedures and work completed accurately.
• Ensures safety, orderliness and safe use of equipment and supplies; maintains clean work areas.
• Reviews blueprints to identify needs and communicate with engineers/designers about revisions or issues.
