Job summary

Mission Valley Post Acute is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to support routine maintenance and repairs across the facility. The role offers a full-time schedule with an hourly wage in the mid-to-upper range for the region, and opportunities to work closely with the Maintenance Director and leadership team.

• Previous maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repairs.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate professionally with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine maintenance and repairs throughout the facility.
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repair tasks.
• Assist with maintaining resident rooms, common areas, offices, and outdoor areas.
• Inspect equipment, fixtures, and facility areas and report maintenance concerns promptly.
• Help ensure the building, grounds, and equipment are safe and properly maintained.
• Respond to maintenance requests and complete work orders in a timely manner.
• Assist with preventative maintenance tasks and scheduled inspections.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies in an organized manner.
• Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed.
• Support compliance with facility safety, fire, and emergency preparedness requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Work closely with the Maintenance Director and facility leadership.
• Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.

Position Details

• Position: Maintenance Assistant
• Employment Type: Full-Time
• Location: Mission Valley Post Acute
• Hourly Wage: $18.05-$22.00 per hour, depending on experience

What You'll Do

• Assist with routine maintenance and repairs throughout the facility.
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repair tasks.
