Job summary

Oxford Valley Health is seeking a dependable Maintenance Director to lead the maintenance department at a skilled nursing facility. You will ensure building systems run reliably and help maintain a safe, comfortable environment for residents and staff.

The role combines strong hands-on repair skills with preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and regulatory documentation to meet healthcare standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance or facility operations, with preference for skilled nursing/long-term care.
• Supervisory or maintenance management experience preferred.
• Familiarity with life safety requirements and healthcare inspections.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, organization, and leadership skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training/certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance of building, grounds, equipment, and utility systems.
• Perform and coordinate repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, carpentry.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules to reduce failures.
• Inspect and logs for life safety systems and maintain records.
• Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate with vendors.
• Manage maintenance budget and supplies.
• Coordinate work with nursing to minimize disruption.
• Support emergency preparedness and urgent maintenance response.
