Job summary

Tennova Healthcare- Turkey Creek Medical Center in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Maintenance Engineer II to ensure hospital systems operate safely and efficiently. The role includes advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and installations of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, with on-call rotations.

During the first 90 days, shift is 7:00 am–2:30 pm, then 2:30 pm–11:30 pm, plus on-call every fifth week from 3:30 pm–6:00 am.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or formal training in facility maintenance or related field.
• 2–4 years of facilities maintenance experience; 3–5 years in hospital setting preferred.
• Experience with hospital systems and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Responds to work requests and urgent issues promptly.
• Ensures safety compliance with OSHA, NFPA, Joint Commission.
• Performs regular inspections of buildings and infrastructure.
• Maintains records and supports budget and supply management.
• Maintains regular attendance and follows policies.
