The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, a valid NC driver’s license, hands-on maintenance knowledge, the ability to lift 100 pounds, and willingness to work every other weekend while maintaining clear records and following facility policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Valid NC Driver’s License required.
• Knowledge of general maintenance and functions of equipment.
• Ability to read and follow instructions clearly.
• Furnish own hand tools.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
• Must be able to work every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and organizes functions of the maintenance department for the facility.
• Services facility equipment and laundry equipment per schedule.
• Monitors and performs routine maintenance on wheelchairs per schedule.
• Monitors handrails, bedrails, dining room tables, and repairs as needed.
• Cleans casters on equipment and filters per schedule.
• Hangs pictures and connects T.V.s for patients as needed.
• Monitors downspouts and maintenance shop and assures cleanliness.
• Replaces ceiling tiles as needed.
• Performs minor carpentry repairs, electrical repairs, and plumbing repairs as needed.
