Job summary

Liberty Healthcare Management in Falcon, NC seeks a Maintenance Director for a full-time, days-shift position at Golden Years Nursing Home. You will supervise the maintenance department and ensure all facility and laundry equipment operates smoothly.

The role requires leadership, hands-on repair skills (carpentry, electrical, plumbing), and the ability to lift 100 pounds, with occasional weekend work as part of a rotating schedule. Valid NC driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitors handrails, bedrails, and dining room tables, and repair as needed.
• Cleans casters on equipment and filters per schedule.
• Hangs pictures and connects T.V.s for patients as needed.
• Monitors downspouts and maintenance shop and assures cleanliness.
• Replaces ceiling tiles as needed.
• Performs minor carpentry repairs, electrical repairs, and plumbing repairs as needed.

• Know how to turn off main power supply, water supply, and/or gas supply to facility.
• Ability to see small details, in equipment, machinery, etc.
• Ability to hear emergency pages, fire alarm, beeper, and motors on equipment.
• Ability to lift 100 pounds.
• Knowledgeable of Exposure Control Plan for Bloodborne Pathogens and Fire & Disaster Plan, and follow policies and procedures.
