Job summary

Grandview in CT seeks an experienced Maintenance Director to lead daily maintenance for a skilled nursing facility, ensuring a safe, compliant environment for residents and staff. The role focuses on life-safety compliance, preventive maintenance, and efficient operations across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and grounds.

You will supervise staff, coordinate inspections, manage contractors, and maintain thorough documentation for surveys and audits, while monitoring budgets and ensuring timely work

Qualifications

• Healthcare maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Life Safety Code and regulatory standards.
• Proficient with facility systems and safety documentation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise building maintenance and repair activities.
• Ensure Life Safety Code and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee preventative maintenance for facility, equipment, and grounds.
• Manage work order system and timely completion of requests.
• Coordinate inspections and testing of fire alarms, sprinklers, generators, elevators, and emergency lighting.
• Maintain emergency plans including fire drills.
• Oversee vendors and contractors.
• Monitor HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• supervise snow removal and grounds upkeep.
• Maintain logs for surveys and audits.
• Participate in state surveys and plans of correction as needed.
• Manage maintenance staff and schedules; monitor budget and supplies.
