Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking an Engineering/Facilities Intern who is pursuing a BS in Facilities or Mechanical Engineering. Under supervision, you will assist in operations and construction projects, update CAD floor plans, and help build a preventative maintenance program for 20+ buildings on campus.

The position offers full-time schedule, 40 hours per week, at $17 per hour. You will help monitor utilities, maintain regulatory documentation, and ensure NFPA compliance across healthcare

Responsibilities

• Supports BAS/DDC operations to ensure energy-efficient mechanical equipment operation.
• Audits BAS sequences and alarms to prevent improper modifications.
• Assists in expanding and managing the CMMS for campus facilities.
• Maintains inventory of facilities equipment and OEM manuals/drawings.
• Provides technical CMMS support and coordinates external maintenance and software enhancements.
• Maintains and updates central building CAD files, blueprints, manuals and data.
• Offers feedback to improve operations, efficiency, and customer service."
• Works with manager to monitor performance and identify training needs.
