Job summary

SAC Health in San Bernardino, CA is seeking a Director of Facilities Management to provide strategic leadership for all facilities operations, maintenance, safety, and capital projects across our network. You will ensure facilities are safe, compliant, and fully operational to support patient care.

Reporting to the COO, you will lead Facilities Project Management, Maintenance, and Safety & Security teams, manage budgets, vendor relationships, emergency preparedness, and on-time project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Business Administration or Healthcare Administration, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• CA driver’s license and auto insurance required; certifications such as CFM, FMP, CHFM, OSHA 30, CSP preferred.
• 7+ years progressive facilities management experience.
• 5+ years leadership experience overseeing facilities, maintenance, construction/project management, safety or security.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for facilities operations across clinic locations.
• Oversee facility capital improvement and renovation projects, ensuring on-time delivery and budget adherence.
• Develop and manage the Facilities Department budget within approved limits.
• Direct maintenance operations and preventive maintenance programs.
• Monitor work orders and SLAs, ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare, OSHA, fire/safety and regulatory requirements.
• Lead Safety & Security programs and emergency drills.
• Develop vendor/contractor relationships and monitor performance.
• Travel to other SAC Health clinics as needed; have reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license.
• Create and report KPIs for facilities operations and provide quarterly executive reports.
