Job summary

Hc is seeking an experienced Maintenance / Environmental Services Director to lead the day‑to‑day operations of our skilled nursing facility. The role oversees maintenance, housekeeping, safety, and environmental services to ensure a safe, clean, and well‑functioning environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

The ideal candidate has prior supervisory experience, is hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and knowledgeable about building systems and SNF safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Maintenance, Environmental Services, or Facilities Management, preferably in a skilled nursing or healthcare setting.
• Prior supervisory or management experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of building systems, preventive maintenance, housekeeping, and facility safety.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.
• Knowledge of SNF regulatory and safety requirements is a plus.
• Hands‑on leadership style with a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Maintenance and Environmental Services operations.
• Supervise, schedule, and support Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Environmental Services staff.
• Maintain the facility, equipment, systems, grounds, and common areas in safe working condition.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and work orders.
• Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, fire, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage housekeeping standards, infection prevention practices, and overall facility cleanliness.
• Coordinate with outside vendors, contractors, and service providers.
• Maintain required records, logs, inspections, and preventive maintenance documentation.
• Respond promptly to maintenance, safety, and environmental concerns.
• Participate in surveys, audits, emergency preparedness, and facility improvement initiatives.
• Monitor department supplies, inventory, and expenses.
• Train and hold department staff accountable for performance and compliance.
