Job summary

Geisinger is seeking an EVS technician to perform healthcare environmental services across patient and non-patient areas in a hospital setting. The role emphasizes cleaning and disinfection to promote a safe environment and positive patient experiences.

Work involves evening shifts (3:00 pm to 11:30 pm) with weekend and holiday rotation. The position includes a sign-on bonus up to $2,500, a $2.00 shift differential for evening/night shifts, and comprehensive benefits and professional development

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Experience in healthcare environmental services is a plus.
• Ability to follow hospital cleaning and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient and non-patient areas.
• Handle various waste streams including municipal and recyclable waste.
• Wear required PPE and follow product usage procedures.
• Place appropriate signage during cleaning and when floors are wet.
• Report facility repairs as directed.
• Use mobile technology to document bed management and EVS tasks.
• Perform detailed cleaning (dusting, walls, ceilings, vents, lights).
• Transport soiled linen to staging area for pickup.
