Job summary

Geisinger Lewistown Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services (EVS) team member to maintain a clean and safe hospital environment. You will clean patient rooms, surgical suites, and common areas, following infection control and safety procedures, and support turnover between cases.

The role emphasizes reliable teamwork, adherence to department standards, and a focus on delivering high-quality patient and family experiences.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• EVS or healthcare environment experience desirable.
• Ability to follow safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, surgical suites, and common areas.
• Handle waste streams including biohazard and sharps in compliance with policy.
• Follow PPE protocols and isolation precautions when needed.
• Operate cleaning equipment and report repairs per policy.
• Support OR and support areas with routine cleaning and turnover.
