Job summary

Forefront is seeking an Environmental Services Technician in Indiana to maintain a clean, safe healthcare environment for patients, residents, staff and visitors. You will follow infection control protocols and operate cleaning equipment as part of a dedicated team.

This full-time, non-exempt position offers a 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, or 10pm-6am schedule with a pay rate of $15.75 per hour. You will perform room and public area cleaning, laundry duties if needed, and report maintenance issues promptly.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing of patient/resident rooms, public areas, and workspaces according to organizational standards.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies safely and efficiently.
• May perform laundry duties, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and delivering linens and uniforms.
• Follow infection prevention and safety protocols, including OSHA, CMS, and TJC standards.
• Assist in setting up rooms, moving furniture, and performing light maintenance as needed.
• Report maintenance issues, supply needs, or safety concerns to the Supervisor.
• Document completed work and adhere to departmental checklists and quality standards.
• Participate in training, staff meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives.
