Job summary

Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) is seeking a Section Supervisor for Environmental Services. You will oversee EVS staff, assign daily tasks, monitor quality, and ensure compliance with infection prevention standards in a hospital setting.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED (Associates degree preferred) and at least five years in healthcare, with supervisory experience advantageous. Location: Anchorage, Alaska; on-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; 1 year substitute allowed with ANTHC experience.
• Five years of healthcare setting experience; non-supervisory.
• Associates degree preferred in related fields; substitute experience may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision to EVS staff on assigned shift.
• Assign daily work based on needs, priority areas, and staffing levels.
• Monitor performance, conduct inspections, address quality concerns in real time.
• Serve as primary contact for healthcare staff; manage cleaning requests and emergent needs.
• Handle scheduling, timecards, leave requests, attendance, and conflict resolution.
• Hire, onboard, train new staff; coach and manage performance.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and cleaning supplies; report maintenance or inventory needs.
• Complete shift documentation: checklists, incident reports, daily logs, hand-off summaries.
• Enforce infection prevention and safety protocols across all duties and tasks.
• Escalate complex issues to EVS senior leadership.
