Job summary

ANTHC in Anchorage is seeking Environmental Services Associates to perform cleaning and sanitizing across the Alaska Native Medical Center and related facilities. The role supports patient and staff safety by maintaining a clean, aseptic environment.

Training and advancement are available through ongoing departmental programs. Location is on-site in Alaska's largest state, with a comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for growth within the EVS team.

Qualifications

• Follows verbal and written instructions accurately.
• Demonstrates basic cleaning techniques and safety awareness.
• Uses PPE and cleaning tools with limited supervision.
• Works cooperatively as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and accept feedback.

Responsibilities

• Follow infection prevention protocols and department procedures.
• Perform daily cleaning and disinfection of assigned areas.
• Support terminal cleaning for discharged patients and contact precaution rooms.
• Restock supplies and manage waste per safety standards.
• Document tasks using checklists or logs.
• Ensure safety and hygiene in patient rooms, restrooms, and public areas.
• Assist with spill response and chemical handling as needed.
• Perform OR turnovers and support infection prevention requirements.
