Job summary

Eastern Health Group operates skilled nursing facilities and rehabilitation centers. We are seeking an Environmental Services Director to lead the environmental services team, oversee cleaning, sanitation, and safety across our nursing home facilities, and ensure a welcoming, infection-controlled environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

The role requires strong leadership, experience in healthcare environmental services, knowledge of infection control, and proficiency with office

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years of environmental services experience, preferably healthcare or nursing home.
• Minimum of 1 year of leadership and team management experience.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning protocols, infection control practices, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with maintenance software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train and develop staff; coach and counsel as needed.
• Develop work schedules and monitor team performance.
• Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals and updates.
• Oversee daily cleaning and sanitization of resident rooms and common areas.
• Ensure adherence to infection control, sanitation protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage vendor relationships for equipment servicing and external services.
• Maintain documentation for inspections and compliance audits.
• Collaborate with nursing/admin teams during surveys/inspections.
