Eastern Health Group in Suffolk, Virginia is seeking an Environmental Services Director (EVS) to lead the cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of our nursing home facilities. The EVS Director will manage the environmental services team, set schedules, monitor performance, and ensure a welcoming, sanitary environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a commitment to infection control and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in environmental services, preferably healthcare or long-term care.
• Minimum 1 year leadership and team management experience.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning protocols, infection control practices, and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the environmental services team, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Develop work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor performance to ensure high-quality service.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and sanitation protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee daily cleaning and sanitization of resident rooms, common areas, and administrative spaces.
• Manage vendor relationships for equipment servicing and pest control; maintain inventory and budgets.
