PACS Group is hiring a dedicated Janitor for Salinas Valley Post Acute in Salinas, CA. This full-time role focuses on maintaining a clean, safe environment for residents, visitors, and staff, with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities include cleaning, waste management, sanitization of spaces, inventory of supplies, and light maintenance, all while adhering to OSHA/SDS safety protocols and healthcare standards. Strong reliability and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in janitorial or environmental services, healthcare/hospitality background is a plus.
• Must be physically able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs during an 8-hour shift.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to read safety labels and follow instructions, with courteous interaction with residents and staff.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening for healthcare facilities employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness throughout the facility, including resident rooms, common areas, and hallways.
• Dispose of waste daily, following healthcare regulations for trash, recycling, and biohazards.
• Sanitize restrooms, high-touch surfaces, fixtures, and clinical spaces to minimize infection risks.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies, soap dispensers, and paper products.
• Assist with minor maintenance tasks, floor buffing, and setting up rooms for events as needed.
• Follow safety protocols, chemical handling procedures (OSHA/SDS), and healthcare compliance standards.
