Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking an Environmental Service Associate to clean and maintain patient rooms, public areas, and service areas in a hospital setting.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficiency, with duties including following work orders, stocking carts, and delivering high levels of customer service to patients and staff. Evening shift, 40 hours per week, within the Environmental Services department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred for applicants over 18.
• Candidates without a diploma may be considered with a valid work permit for ages 16-17.
• Experience in healthcare or customer service is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining defined areas of the hospital, including patient rooms, public areas and service areas.
• Follow assigned cleaning or maintenance tasks from automated system, daily sheets, or verbal directions.
• Move beds or furniture as needed to service customers and complete cleaning processes.
• Keep equipment and carts stocked and report issues via work orders.
• Provide high level of customer service to patients and other customers; adhere to safety and quality standards.
