Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited is seeking a Recycling and Warehouse Operative for a 2 month contract at Enfield Civic Centre. You will manage the recycling, refurbishment, decontamination, storage and distribution of community healthcare equipment, processing returned mobility aids, beds and wheelchairs.

This role supports the Integrated Community Equipment Service (ICES), with responsibilities across warehousing, hygiene, quality checks and stock control, ensuring safe handling and timely delivery

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse/logistics or healthcare equipment services.
• Strong focus on safety and infection control procedures.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process returned community healthcare equipment.
• Clean, decontaminate, inspect and refurbish equipment for reuse.
• Assess item safety and suitability for reuse.
• Identify equipment requiring repair, recycling or disposal.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised warehouse environment.
• Support stock control, loading/unloading and timely delivery.
