Job summary

Good Samaritan Society is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a clean and sanitary environment in patient and facility areas. You will follow infection control, safety, and procedural guidelines while performing duties across patient rooms, hallways, and public spaces.

The role requires lifting up to 40-50lbs, functioning in a healthcare setting, and flexibility for varying shifts including days, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to use computer and prior cleaning experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and sanitary environment in patient/resident areas and common spaces following infection control and safety guidelines.
• Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, waxing, and polishing floors; handle waste disposal.
• Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely; restock storage areas and assist in laundry as needed.
• Work in various locations (rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms) to meet health standards.
