Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Night shift Housekeeper - Environmental Services Tech to uphold cleanliness across patient areas, operating rooms, labs and corridors.

The role requires following infection prevention protocols, proper waste handling, use of PPE, and strong customer service when interacting with staff, patients and families. A high school diploma or GED is preferred and some housekeeping experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
• Some experience in housekeeping or healthcare environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs full range of restroom and patient room cleaning following the cleaning protocol.
• Handles waste and hazardous materials per guidelines and ensures correct disposal.
• Uses PPE correctly and follows lifting techniques to prevent injury.
• Documents daily assignments and coordinates with staff; supports infection prevention protocols.
