Wellstar Health System is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper – Environmental Services Technician for the Evening shift. This role provides critical cleaning support for regular, terminal, and isolation cleaning within hospital areas including operating rooms, labs, and patient rooms.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, ability to read and follow cleaning protocols, and fluency in English. Training will cover PPE use, waste handling, and infection prevention to support a safe

Qualifications

• Fluent English reading, writing and comprehension required.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills expected.
• Experience in healthcare or cleaning roles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform full range of hospital cleaning tasks including patient rooms and restrooms.
• Follow infection prevention protocols and use appropriate chemicals.
• Operate waste handling procedures for solid, biohazard, and chemotherapy waste.
• Use PPE properly and follow lifting safety guidelines.
• Maintain clean and safe environment per department standards.
• Document daily assignments and adjust to staffing needs.
