Job summary

Forefront is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to perform cleaning, disinfecting, and laundry tasks in patient and public areas. The role requires operating cleaning equipment safely and following established infection prevention protocols to maintain a sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

This hourly, non-exempt position supports the Supervisor and Manager with routine tasks, reporting issues, and participating in training.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing of patient/resident rooms, public areas, and workspaces according to organizational standards.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies safely and efficiently.
• May perform laundry duties, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and delivering linens and uniforms.
• Follow infection prevention and safety protocols, including OSHA, CMS, and TJC standards.
• Assist in setting up rooms, moving furniture, and performing light maintenance as needed.
• Report maintenance issues, supply needs, or safety concerns to the Supervisor.
• Document completed work and adhere to departmental checklists and quality standards.
• Participate in training, staff meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives.
