Job summary

Aurora Health Care is seeking a dedicated janitorial team member to maintain clean, safe patient care areas, lobbies, restrooms and offices across the facility. You will operate power cleaning equipment, refinish floors as needed, and prepare rooms for meetings and events.

The role requires the ability to follow safety procedures, work independently, and deliver excellent service while coordinating with staff to minimize interruptions to clinical operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a variety of cleaning equipment and tools.
• Follow oral and written instructions and communicate with others.
• Work independently and understand facility layouts.
• Prioritize tasks while following department policies and procedures.
• Basic computer skills and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Cleans furniture and carpets in rooms, hallways, stairs, and offices using power equipment and refinishes floors as needed.
• Operates cleaning equipment and reports safety hazards or repairs.
• Uses chemicals safely and adheres to MSDS guidelines.
• Sets up rooms for meetings and delivers audio visual equipment.
• Cleans patient care areas, restrooms, lobbies, and offices in accordance with infection control guidelines.
• Cleans ceilings, walls, doors, and windows and handles trash, recyclables, and medical waste.
• Sorts and stocks linens and prepares soiled linen for transport; inventories supplies.
• Cleans and prepares dismissal and transfer units and distributes non-medical supplies.
• Reports mechanical failures or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
