Responsibilities

• Cleans patient care areas, surgical areas, restrooms, conference rooms, lobbies, offices, elevators and stairwells.
• Cleans environmental surfaces and assists with spills according to guidelines.
• Dusts and damp mops floors in various patient areas and hallways.
• Replaces cubicle and window coverings as needed.
• Gathers, disposes recyclables, trash, and medical waste following infection control rules.
• Gathers and prepares soiled linen, transports linens, and handles supplies.
• Cleans dismissal and transfer areas and equipment used in patient care.
• Fills and cleans supply dispensers.
• Maintains housekeeping closets and inventories linens and cleaning supplies.
• Reports any mechanical failures or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
