Job summary

Aurora Health Care is seeking a dedicated environmental services associate to clean and maintain patient rooms, common areas, and offices using power equipment. You will set up rooms for meetings, assist with AV deliveries, and handle routine trash, recyclables, and linen tasks in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Strong attention to safety, the ability to follow instructions, and excellent customer service are required. Prior experience is helpful but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate various types of cleaning equipment including machine scrubbers and carpet cleaners.
• Ability to follow both oral and written instructions and communicate with others.
• Ability to work alone and understand facility layouts and priorities.
• Performs tasks without disrupting doctors, nurses, patients and staff.
• Basic computer skills and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Clean furniture and carpets in rooms, hallways, stairs, and offices using power equipment.
• Operate cleaning equipment and report safety hazards or needed repairs.
• Set up rooms for meetings and deliver audio visual equipment.
• Clean patient care areas, restrooms, conference rooms, lobbies, elevators and stairwells.
• Gathers and disposes recyclables, trash, and medical waste; manage linens and supplies.
