Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within the facility.

Responsibilities include cleaning patient rooms, operating rooms, restrooms, and public areas, while ensuring adherence to infection control standards and safety protocols. The role involves 40 hours per week with 8-hour shifts from 11:00am to 7:30pm, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Quality assurance and accreditation standards are understood.
• HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality are followed.
• Effective English communication in verbal and written format.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in tasks.
• Basic computer proficiency is expected.
• Knowledge of healthcare cleaning protocols and safe chemical use.
• Familiar with guidelines from healthcare regulatory bodies.
• Customer service standards are carried out.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect rooms, furniture, equipment and other areas in the facility according to procedures.
• Remove waste and transport to disposal areas, identifying proper waste streams.
• Restock supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, soap, and hand sanitizer.
• Ensure logs and check lists are completed and up to date.
• Contribute to departmental improvements to enhance patient safety and cleanliness.
• Follow infection prevention protocols including PPE usage.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to call-ins as needed.
• Use secure messaging platform per departmental protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
