Job summary

Good Samaritan in Waukon, IA seeks an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a safe, sanitary environment in patient and resident areas by following infection control and safety guidelines. Duties include cleaning floors, rooms, lobbies and restrooms, and assisting in laundry as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Healthcare custodial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, sanitary environment in patient/resident areas per infection control guidelines.
• Perform cleaning tasks including floors, rooms, lounges, restrooms, and common areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and restock supplies.
• Assist in laundry areas as appropriate.
